Course: SOTIF basic training
SOTIF is a very important addition to functional safety in the area of driver assistance systems and automated driving.
The newly introduced ISO standard SOTIF (ISO/PAS 21448) addresses functional safety hazards that can occur due to functional insufficiencies in the intended functionality or through reasonably foreseeable misuse of the system by individuals in specific situations. ISO 26262, in contrast, covers functional safety — i.e., safe behavior in the case of electrical-engineering failures.
Drawing on many years of practical experience in the field of functional safety, we provide you with the knowledge you need to work with the new ISO 21448 standard that addresses safety of the intended functionality (SOTIF).
